The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, monitoring their progress, and supporting their recovery process.
This role includes regular communication with doctors, patients, and families, as well as responding to emergencies when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and monitor patient progress.
Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and family members.
Administer treatment and monitor dosage levels.
Respond to medical emergencies and alert the appropriate medical staff.
Attend to patient needs during their recovery in the ICU unit.
Complete necessary paperwork before patient transfers.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Develop and implement effective care plans.
Required Qualifications
ASN or BSN
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
COVID vaccination, experience with EPIC EMR
RN License, BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or ICU setting is advantageous.
