Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - Emergency Room provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic emergency department.
This role involves assisting with overflow and bed expansion while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address urgent medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to patients in the emergency department, managing overflow and supporting bed expansion in hallways as needed.
- Administer treatments, medications, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and efficient environment while adhering to hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department (ED).
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM / 3:00 PM–3:00 AM).
- Availability to work every other weekend (EOW) and one winter holiday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) will be considered.
- Strong adaptability and ability to perform under pressure in a high-acuity setting.
