We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for our Special Care Nursery to provide specialized care for premature and critically ill neonates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the health of newborns in critical care and performing various medical procedures to ensure their stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess the condition of premature and critically ill neonates, ensuring vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall health are stable.
Administer medications, fluids, and nutrition through IV lines, feeding tubes, or other specialized methods.
Perform life-saving procedures such as resuscitation, intubation, and ventilation when necessary.
Operate and maintain specialized NICU equipment, including ventilators, incubators, and monitors.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal care for newborns.
Document patient information accurately and timely in the medical records system.
Educate and provide emotional support to families and caregivers of neonates.
Required Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Previous experience working in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or special care nursery is required.
Proficiency in neonatal assessment and resuscitation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Additional certifications in neonatal care or NICU nursing.
Certifications:
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
