The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of cardiac catheterization procedures and works collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Patient Care:
  • Work as an essential member of the patient care team, ensuring seamless coordination and continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, explaining procedures and answering questions to alleviate concerns.

Technical Expertise:
  • Assist in performing cardiac catheterization procedures, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Operate and maintain specialized cardiac catheterization equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment-related issues promptly during procedures.

Patient- and Family-Centered Care:
  • Foster a philosophy of patient- and family-focused care in all interactions, prioritizing the well-being of the patient.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and their families, providing education and support to enhance their understanding of the procedure.
