Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, including NICU or pediatric experience. The position involves providing high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. This role also includes the development of treatment plans, monitoring patient responses to breathing treatments, and educating staff on quality control procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and maintain patient paperwork accurately, ensuring timely updates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Observe and monitor patient behavior and responses to breathing treatments.
- Successfully wean 20+ patients off mechanical ventilation.
- Change and replace 60+ patient tracheostomy tubes without any adverse effects.
- Develop and implement over 60 treatment plans, leading to successful weaning from mechanical ventilation and decannulation.
- Train and educate 5+ staff members on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Assist in the successful decannulation of 30+ patients' tracheostomies.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- NICU or Pediatric experience required.
- RI RRT license (must be current).
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting with a diverse patient population.
- Strong problem-solving and patient care skills.
Certification: Pediatric Advanced Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support , Basic Life Support
