Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care provides comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients in a residential care setting, prioritizing their comfort and well-being. 
This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate, complete health care records and reports for each patient.
  • Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and manage non-intravenous treatments as prescribed.
  • Prescribe and manage assistive devices and related treatments.
  • Record vital signs and other relevant medical information, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic and clinical tests as needed.
  • Monitor, report, and document changes in patient conditions or symptoms.
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
  • Modify patient health treatment plans based on their conditions and responses.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Current Massachusetts RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in developing individualized care plans for elderly patients.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Certifications
  • COVID-19 vaccination, including two doses and booster.
  • Colorado RN license.
  • BLS certification.
