Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry is responsible for monitoring patient progress, managing treatment plans, and responding to medical conditions in a timely manner.
This role requires effective communication with healthcare teams and patient families, maintaining accurate records, and implementing individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and monitor patient progress, identifying any sudden or subtle changes in medical condition.
- Provide regular updates to doctors, patients, and family members.
- Initiate treatment as needed and monitor medication doses carefully.
- Respond to medical emergencies and notify appropriate medical personnel when required.
- Complete all necessary documentation before transferring patients.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient records.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- COVID-19 vaccination.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with expertise in EPIC EMR.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience in medical-surgical and telemetry settings.
Certifications
