Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team within a correctional facility. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care to inmates, ensuring their health needs are met in compliance with facility protocols and health standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to inmates, ensuring their health needs are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patient conditions, documenting observations and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Ensure compliance with all facility protocols, regulations, and health standards.
  • Provide education to inmates on managing their health conditions and treatment regimens.
  • Assist with routine health assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations.
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to maintain a safe and effective healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in State.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN/LVN in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required for all staff.
  • Ability to work 2 days per week, including every other weekend.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a correctional facility or with incarcerated populations is a plus.
  • Experience in administering medications and providing care for diverse patient conditions.
Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
