Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality imaging services, ensure patient safety, and maintain optimal functionality of MRI equipment. This role also involves providing a positive patient experience and contributing to process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Review patient histories and perform screenings to assess risks from pacemakers, metal implants, or other contraindications.
Administer contrast dyes under proper medical supervision and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
Address patient concerns, explain the MRI procedure, and maintain a calm environment to ensure patient comfort.
Position patients and operate MRI equipment to capture accurate images based on physician orders.
Conduct routine inspections of MRI machines, coordinate maintenance, and promptly report any technical issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe MRI room environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Provide guidance and training to junior MRI technologists and assist in onboarding new staff members.
Prepare reports, document procedures, and escalate any critical issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
Perform quality assurance checks, adhere to imaging protocols, and suggest process improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) – Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in MRI technology in a clinical setting – Preferred
Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and contrast media usage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to address patient needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and understanding imaging techniques
