Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care, conducting various tests, and educating patients and their families on respiratory diseases and treatments. This role requires working with a variety of respiratory equipment and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respiratory Care & Equipment Management:
  • Work with and have knowledge of various respiratory equipment to administer appropriate treatments and support to patients.
  • Conduct various respiratory tests, including Pulmonary Function Tests, Stress Tests, and EKGs.
  • Patient Education & Support:
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory diseases, medications, and preventive care.
  • Provide instructions on the proper use of respiratory equipment and treatments.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Age Group Adaptability:
  • Provide respiratory care for all age groups, adapting techniques to suit the needs of children, adults, and the elderly.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Proficient in using EPIC or similar healthcare management software.
  • Licensed or certified as a Respiratory Therapist by the state.
  • Current in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and families on respiratory health.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Certifications:
  • Required: Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist, licensed by the State.
  • Preferred: Current NRP and ACLS certifications.
Education and Experience:
  • Required: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting, especially with respiratory equipment and testing.

Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
