We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care, conducting various tests, and educating patients and their families on respiratory diseases and treatments. This role requires working with a variety of respiratory equipment and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Respiratory Care & Equipment Management:
Work with and have knowledge of various respiratory equipment to administer appropriate treatments and support to patients.
Conduct various respiratory tests, including Pulmonary Function Tests, Stress Tests, and EKGs.
Patient Education & Support:
Educate patients and their families on respiratory diseases, medications, and preventive care.
Provide instructions on the proper use of respiratory equipment and treatments.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care.
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to ensure patient needs are met.
Age Group Adaptability:
Provide respiratory care for all age groups, adapting techniques to suit the needs of children, adults, and the elderly.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
Proficient in using EPIC or similar healthcare management software.
Licensed or certified as a Respiratory Therapist by the state.
Current in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and families on respiratory health.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Certifications:
Required: Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist, licensed by the State.
Preferred: Current NRP and ACLS certifications.
Education and Experience:
Required: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
Preferred: Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting, especially with respiratory equipment and testing.
Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
