Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team, providing essential support to practitioners and ensuring a seamless patient care experience. 
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all regulatory standards.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Client’s policies, procedures, and principles of responsibility, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Complete patient intake, including vital signs, height, weight, and hearing/vision screening as needed.
  • Identify care gaps and schedule care gap visits and procedures as indicated.
  • Prepare consent, school, and work forms for provider review and signature.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, well-stocked, and equipped with necessary supplies for patient visits and procedures.
  • Perform point-of-care testing as required.
  • Administer immunizations and medications within scope of practice and provide patients with the most recent Vaccine Information Statement (VIS).
  • Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures, including positioning and draping patients, passing instruments in a sterile manner, and ensuring a safe procedure environment.
  • Document patient care and education in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Actively participate in Unit Based Team (UBT) meetings, staff meetings, department-specific education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other in-scope duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Medical Assistant certification (as required by state regulations).
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
