The Director of Rehabilitation will oversee the rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality care for patients while managing a team of therapists and other rehabilitation professionals. This role will require a comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to meet compliance standards. The Director will be responsible for overseeing patient assessments, treatment planning, staff management, and continuous improvement of rehabilitation services in the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Provide leadership and direction for the rehabilitation team, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Patient Care: Oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of rehabilitation services to patients, ensuring appropriate treatment plans are developed and followed.
Team Development: Manage, mentor, and supervise rehabilitation staff, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and professional work environment.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including accurate and timely documentation for patient care and licensure.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including nursing and medical teams, to coordinate patient care and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
Quality Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of rehabilitation services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Licensed Rehabilitation professional (e.g., Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist) with appropriate state licensure.
Experience:
Previous experience in a rehabilitation leadership or management role, preferably in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
Experience in supervising and mentoring staff in a clinical environment.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
Proficiency in using healthcare management systems and electronic health records (EHR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting.
New graduates are welcome to apply, but SNF experience is preferred.
Advanced certifications in rehabilitation or therapy management are a plus.
Certifications (if any):
Valid State License (as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist).
BLS/CPR certification.
Any other relevant certifications based on the specific discipline (e.g., APHPT for physical therapists, or other advanced therapy certifications).
