We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and effective care to adult patients experiencing acute mental distress.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in crisis intervention, medication administration, and care coordination in a psychiatric setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Charge Nurse and Medication Nurse, utilizing the nursing process to provide quality patient care.
- Review clinical cases to ensure appropriate psychiatric sub-acute and CSU (Crisis Stabilization Unit) placement.
- Conduct ongoing crisis and medical assessments for walk-in clients, inpatient admissions, and discharges.
- Administer medications safely, monitor effects, and support symptom management and stabilization.
- Delegate duties strategically to maintain a therapeutic and safe environment, ensuring patient safety and staff morale.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physicians, therapists, caseworkers, milieu counselors, and fellow nurses to optimize patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience (preferably in psychiatric or mental health settings).
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
