We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team.
Working under the direction of licensed medical professionals, the MA will assist with patient care, administrative tasks, and medical procedures in an ambulatory care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and professional care within the MA scope of practice.
- Assist the healthcare team in implementing medical care plans.
- Room patients, take and accurately document vital signs.
- Administer injections and vaccinations as required.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) using Epic.
- Perform triage responsibilities, including assessing patient urgency and handling walk-in visits.
- Support chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma).
- Assist in preventive care (e.g., wellness exams, screenings, routine checkups).
- Collaborate with family medicine, internal medicine, or general practice teams.
Job Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
Certification: Must hold one of the following:
- AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, or CCBMA certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency with Epic EMR.
- Strong patient relations and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work as a team player.
License & Certification:
Current CPR Certification.
Certification: American Association of Medical Assistants , American Medical Technologists
