The Registered Nurse - Telemetry will provide specialized patient care by monitoring cardiac telemetry data and ensuring comprehensive care through collaboration with healthcare professionals.
This role is vital for ensuring that patient conditions are accurately tracked, and appropriate interventions are implemented in a timely manner to optimize recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Review patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans to ensure effective care.
Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements for continuous monitoring.
Monitor, interpret, and document data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
Administer medication and execute treatment interventions under the guidance of healthcare specialists.
Maintain and update patient charts, files, and medical records accurately.
Provide guidance to Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans.
Collaborate with healthcare specialists, communicating any changes or deterioration in patient conditions.
Educate patients and their families on test results, procedures, and address any questions.
Advise patients on post-hospital care, including medication, home care, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
Required Qualifications
Active RN License in state
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Covid-19 and Flu vaccination documentation.
Two professional references (preferably from a supervisor or manager).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in telemetry nursing or acute care settings.
Strong communication and patient education skills.
