We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality patient care, primarily to a geriatric population, using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will play a critical role in guiding patient care, coordinating with ancillary personnel, and maintaining the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Delivery:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department, focusing on urgent and critical needs.
Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Prioritize and manage multiple patient cases in a fast-paced environment.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
Direct and guide activities of ancillary personnel to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Patient & Family Education:
Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
Advocate for patient needs and ensure compassionate, patient-centered care.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Adhere to all hospital protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Educatione
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure & Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) License in Massachusetts (MA).
Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a preference for Emergency Department (ED) experience.
Critical care background is preferred to handle high-acuity cases effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
