Job Summary:
The ACMIO will provide clinical informatics services across Keck Medicine of USC facilities, collaborating with providers, clinicians, patients, and business units. This role requires strong leadership, progressive medical informatics expertise, and the ability to drive organizational transformation using informationaa technology.

• Remote Work: Hybrid position with remote day options as assigned by the CMIO. Onsite requirements include orientation, equipment pickup, health appointments, team events, go-lives, and other manager-assigned duties.

• Collaboratively lead and represent providers, clinicians, patients, and business needs while adhering to high ethical standards.
• Promote system thinking by effectively listening and responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Leverage clinical data, presentation skills, and teamwork to enable cross-departmental collaboration.
• Participate in and lead advisory and work groups, building trusting relationships with stakeholders.
• Lead and coordinate clinical care transformation using advanced information and technology.
• Provide clinical leadership to enhance provider engagement with clinical information systems.
• Support training and education efforts by collaborating with Information Services training teams and offering peer-to-peer assistance.
• Facilitate organizational change, including implementation and optimization of electronic medical record systems across multi-facility organizations. • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• MD or DO degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a physician leader with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Active medical practice within the past 12 months preferred.
• Experience in medical informatics, clinical systems implementation, process redesign, and change management in IT clinical cultures.
• Familiarity with health IT products, medical informatics trends, and tools.
• Practical experience in health IT system design, implementation, and optimization.
• Expertise in quality, performance improvement, and outcomes management.
• Analytical understanding of clinical workflows and knowledge of Clinical Decision Support applications for efficient care delivery.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with physicians, clinicians, administrators, and IT staff.
• Cerner/Oracle Health experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Board certification in Clinical Informatics or related degrees (e.g., MBA, MPH, MHA, MMM, Informatics).
• Experience leading organizational change for health IT systems.
Licenses/Certifications:
• Licensed to practice medicine in California (must obtain within 180 days of hire).
• Board-certified in an ACGME-recognized specialty.
Accountabilities:
• Report directly to the CMIO and maintain a dotted line to a clinical chair at the Keck School of Medicine.
• Work 32 hours/week in information services activities and may spend 8 hours/week on clinical or academic duties.
