The Acute Care Float RN will provide comprehensive care for patients with life-threatening conditions or comorbidities that require sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring. This role involves working in a highly challenging environment where deep knowledge and quick thinking are essential for managing the highest acuity level patients, including those with conditions such as overdoses, post-surgery recovery, trauma, and chronic illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in acute care settings.
Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patient conditions to provide timely interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to support patient care.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic charting systems.
Required Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.
Proficient in computer charting, specifically with EPIC
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in high-acuity settings, such as trauma or surgical ICUs.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
