Registered Nurse - Outpatient

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient team. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care. This role involves coordinating patient care, performing assessments, administering medications, and supporting patients through various outpatient procedures and treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct patient care in an outpatient or ambulatory care environment.
  2. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings accurately.
  3. Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
  4. Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate any concerns to the healthcare team.
  5. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and preventive health measures.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
  7. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe clinical environment.

Required Qualifications
  1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  2. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  3. 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
  4. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  5. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in a specialty outpatient clinic (e.g., cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, or primary care).
  2. BSN or higher nursing degree.
  3. Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus.

Certifications
  1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred, depending on specialty.
