The Sleep Technician is responsible for the acquisition and scoring of polysomnographic studies, performing a variety of sleep and EEG procedures under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Manager. This role ensures accurate data collection and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire and score polysomnographic studies.
Perform, observe, and record daytime and overnight sleep/EEG procedures.
Score sleep study results and generate reports for physician interpretation.
Administer NPSGs, CPAPs, BiPAPs, VPAPs, MSLTs, and MWTs to the patient population.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory bodies such as Joint Commission and AASM, including data entry for licensure and certification.
Ensure compliance with interscorer reliability standards.
Conduct periodic audits of patient records to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Complete data entry for assigned areas and tasks.
Collaborate with the Lawson group to create new positions and process system changes.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in polysomnography and sleep study procedures.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a sleep lab or similar clinical environment.

BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists)
