Job Summary
- Provide direct nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Monitor and assess patients pre- and post-cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to rhythm changes
- Start and manage IV lines
- Administer cardiac medications and drips
- Care for patients pre- and post-PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
- Document care and update patient records accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and ongoing care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
- Experience with telemetry, IV starts, and cardiac drip medications
- Ability to manage high patient ratios and acuity
- Open to first-time travelers
- Local candidates accepted
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel nursing experience
Certifications
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support
- NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
Education: Bachelors Degree
Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support , Basic Cardiac Life Support
