We are seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Telemetry for a 13-week contract assignment within a dynamic Medical Float Pool. The Telemetry RN will provide high-quality care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and will float between multiple units based on staffing needs and clinical competencies. This role requires strong assessment skills, adaptability, and the ability to deliver safe and compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with nursing standards and physician orders
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated patient care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
Float between designated units according to facility needs and RN competency
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining safety, dignity, and comfort
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge instructions
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Previous float experience preferred, but not required
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Experience floating across multiple units in a hospital setting
Proficiency with common EMR systems
