The Pharmacist is responsible for delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care, with a focus on oncology patients. This role involves preparing and handling chemotherapy medications, monitoring patient outcomes, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and handle chemotherapy medications in compliance with safety and quality standards
Monitor chemotherapy patients to assess treatment effectiveness and manage side effects
Provide direct patient care in oncology settings, ensuring accurate medication management
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals under Collaborative Drug Therapy Management (CDTM) protocols
Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to regulatory and institutional guidelines
Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience within the last 3 years in chemotherapy preparation and patient monitoring
Completion of a pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience in direct patient care oncology
