We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Postpartum unit. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns following delivery, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education during the recovery period. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting families during this important transition.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns
Monitor vital signs, physical recovery, and emotional well-being of mothers
Assess and support breastfeeding, offering guidance and education to new mothers
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital standards
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
Support patient comfort and emotional needs during the postpartum period
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in obstetrics, postpartum, or maternal-child health)
Strong knowledge of postpartum recovery, newborn care, and patient education practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree
Prior experience in a postpartum or maternal-child health unit
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
