Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, monitor their progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. This position requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly in critical situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and monitor patient progress and condition.
- Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical status.
- Provide timely updates to physicians, patients, and their family members.
- Administer treatments and monitor medication dosages.
- Respond to medical emergencies and escalate to appropriate medical staff when necessary.
- Deliver comprehensive care during recovery in the ICU unit.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and paperwork prior to patient transfers.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
Certifications
- Active RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
