The Registered Nurse - Telemetry provides continuous cardiac monitoring and specialized care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions. This role involves interpreting telemetry data, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Perform patient assessments and document clinical findings
Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop care plans
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and recovery
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Participate in emergency response and resuscitation efforts
Support quality improvement and professional development initiatives
Required Qualifications
1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Arrhythmia course required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
