Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal (GI) procedures in an endoscopy setting. The role requires a nurse with specialized knowledge and experience in GI or endoscopy procedures, as well as proficiency in patient care, monitoring, and recovery post-procedure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care and support to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure.
  • Assist the physician during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety.
  • Educate patients and families on the procedure and aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and recovery progress.
  • Collaborate with the endoscopy team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols, infection control procedures, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
  • At least 1 year of GI or Endoscopy experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) recognition required.
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in endoscopy and GI nursing practices.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred.

Education: Bachelors Degree

Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
