The Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal (GI) procedures in an endoscopy setting. The role requires a nurse with specialized knowledge and experience in GI or endoscopy procedures, as well as proficiency in patient care, monitoring, and recovery post-procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care and support to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure.
Assist the physician during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety.
Educate patients and families on the procedure and aftercare instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and recovery progress.
Collaborate with the endoscopy team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
Adhere to all hospital protocols, infection control procedures, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 1 year of GI or Endoscopy experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) recognition required.
Skills/Knowledge:
Proficiency in endoscopy and GI nursing practices.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
