We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the medical/surgical units and the Joint Center. This role organizes and directs nursing services, ensuring quality standards are met through a multidisciplinary team approach. The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining an environment that supports professional nursing practice, enhances the patient experience, and fosters collaboration with nursing students and staff.
This position carries 24/7 responsibility and accountability for staff and students participating in the program and reports directly to the Clinical Director, Medical/Surgical Services.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of medical/surgical units and the Joint Center.
Organize and direct nursing services to ensure quality care delivery.
Coordinate staff assignments and schedules to meet patient needs.
Develop and maintain a supportive environment for nurses, patients, students, and staff.
Ensure compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff and students.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school (required).
Current State RN license (required).
Minimum of 3–5 years of current clinical experience.
Previous supervisory experience in medical/surgical nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Strong leadership skills and clinical competence, including proficiency in nursing and improvement processes.
Excellent interpersonal, team-building, collaboration, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or matriculation toward MSN.
Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader or in Nursing Administration.
Experience with the development of a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) or similar nursing university/hospital collaborative program.
Certifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license – State (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required).
Clinical Nurse Leader or Nursing Administration certification (preferred).
