The Health Care Associate II (Front Desk) serves as the first point of contact for patients, supporting registration, scheduling, payments, and administrative operations. This role ensures accurate documentation in electronic health record systems, provides high-quality customer service, and supports efficient clinic workflows. The position may also assist with logistics for clinic operations, including mobile clinic services.
Key Responsibilities
Register patients for appointments, verify eligibility, and update demographic information in the EPIC medical information system.
Provide customer service by greeting patients, answering questions, and assisting with clinic navigation.
Calculate charges, collect payments, and reconcile daily receipts in accordance with clinic protocols.
Assist with appointment scheduling and support operational logistics, including mobile clinic service needs when required.
Manage patient records, maintain phone lines, and support preparation of exam rooms or medical charts.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of experience in a community-based health care setting preferred.
Proficiency with computer operations and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
