We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Secretary to provide administrative support within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will manage patient communications, maintain medical records, and ensure the smooth operation of daily office activities with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage correspondence
Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with confidentiality standards
Prepare and process medical documentation, reports, and billing information
Assist physicians and healthcare staff with administrative tasks
Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
Manage office supplies and support general office organization
Handle insurance forms and coordinate with billing departments as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience as a medical secretary or in healthcare administration
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical record systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or certification in medical office administration
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Familiarity with medical terminology
