We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our medical imaging team. This role is responsible for supporting interventional radiologists during complex procedures, maintaining sterile environments, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
Respond rapidly to STAT and emergency interventional radiology procedures, including after-hours and on-call cases
Assist radiologists during procedures such as angiography, embolization, thrombectomy, and stent placements
Prepare and maintain sterile fields and procedural equipment
Operate imaging modalities including fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and contrast injectors
Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and sedation support during procedures
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and safety of imaging and interventions
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field
Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Interventional Radiography (VI) or equivalent
State licensure as required
Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and imaging equipment
Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in interventional radiology or cardiovascular imaging
Familiarity with advanced imaging software and PACS systems
Experience working in a hospital or acute care environment
Certifications
ARRT certification (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (preferred)
