Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound and Ostomy Care to provide expert clinical care for patients with complex wound and ostomy needs. This role involves assessment, treatment planning, patient education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver specialized care for patients with wound and ostomy needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient conditions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide patient and caregiver education on wound care, ostomy management, and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and clinical best practices
- Support quality improvement initiatives related to wound and ostomy care
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- CWOCN or CWCN certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field
