Formulation Technician

JOB SUMMARY
The Formulation Technician will be responsible for the formulation of buffers and reagents using various laboratory equipment to support CONL (labeled container) and Kitting manufacturing operations. This role also involves performing in-process testing to ensure material quality. The technician will conduct chemical and physical laboratory formulations for Mass Spectrometry and Capillary Electrophoresis product lines, perform CONL and kitting operations, and effectively communicate with team members and management. The position requires flexibility and adaptability in performing assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct chemical and physical laboratory formulations to support both the Mass Spectrometry and Capillary Electrophoresis product lines.
• Perform CONL and kitting operations as needed to support manufacturing and production goals.
• Communicate effectively with team members, team leads, and managers to identify and resolve issues, maintain lab cleanliness, ensure inventory accuracy, and verify product quality meets specifications.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in performing all assigned formulation, CONL, kitting, and related laboratory/manufacturing tasks as directed by the manager or supervisor, including reprioritizing activities, supporting cross-functional needs, assisting in other production areas, responding to urgent production/troubleshooting demands, and contributing to process improvements to meet quality, safety, and delivery objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in a related scientific discipline
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a biotech lab environment or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes the use of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
• Able to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods (1 shift).

Preferred Qualifications
• A laboratory utilizing mass spectrometry or capillary electrophoresis.
• An industrial laboratory or manufacturing facility.
