JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for an Acuity Adaptable Unit. This role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing with specific experience in post-cardiac catheterization patients. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CRRT and potentially familiar with balloon pump and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in an acuity adaptable environment, functioning beyond a standard ICU setting.
• Manage and care for patients post-cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Administer and monitor Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
• Perform sheath pulls as indicated for post-cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess conditions, and respond to changes promptly.
• Document patient care, observations, and interventions accurately and comprehensively.
• Float to other units within their skill set or to designated sites within a 40-mile radius as needed.
Schedule / Shift
• End of Week (EOW) and End of Holiday (EOH) rotations are required.
Required Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
• At least 2 years of overall nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
• Experience caring for post-cardiac catheterization patients.
• Competency in performing Sheath Pulls.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with balloon pumps.
• Experience with Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience
• 2+ years of nursing experience.
• ICU experience required.
• Experience with post-cath patients.
• CRRT experience.
• Balloon pump experience is a plus.
• Swan-Ganz catheter experience is a plus.
Skills

• May be required to float to sites within a 40-mile radius if needed.
