JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced RN with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience to join our team. This role involves providing direct patient care within the operating room environment, assisting with cardiac surgical procedures, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Circulate and scrub for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgeon and surgical team during operations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout the surgical process.
- Administer medications and fluids as prescribed.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic techniques.
- Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
- Float to general surgery cases if CVOR caseload is low.
- Float to sites within 40 miles if needed, within skill set.

Schedule / Shift
- Contract Duration: 13-26 weeks.
- Shift Type: Rotating shifts, Monday-Friday.
- Shift Hours: 8-hour shifts (0650-1520) or 10-hour shifts (0650-1650).
- Start Time: May vary, potentially starting at 0600 based on surgical needs (e.g., heart cases).
- Call: Rotating call during weekdays and weekends based on department needs.
- Holiday: Call hours based on department needs.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Current state RN license.
- Prior travel experience preferred.

Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required.
- If no cases are available in CVOR, the traveler will be required to perform general surgical cases.

EMR / Systems
- EPIC

Certifications
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.

Unit / Specialty
- CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Patient Population
- Adult cardiac surgical patients.

Floating / On-Call
- May be required to float onsite within skill set.
- May be required to float to sites within 40 miles if needed.
- Rotating call responsibilities based on department needs.

Education: Bachelors Degree
