We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct care to cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role involves monitoring patients before and after cardiac procedures, assessing their condition, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes
Initiate and manage IV lines
Administer cardiac medications and drips safely and accurately
Provide care for patients pre- and post-PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
Document patient care and update records in a timely and accurate manner
Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and ongoing care needs
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and cardiac drip medications
Ability to manage high patient ratios and acuity levels
Open to first-time travelers
Local candidates accepted
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel nursing experience
Certifications
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Education: Bachelors Degree
