The Acute Care Dietitian provides specialized nutrition care to patients across hospital units including Med/Surg, ICU, and Oncology. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing nutrition support plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. The dietitian ensures safe and effective delivery of tube feeding and parenteral nutrition (TPN), while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nutrition support including tube feeding (required) and TPN (preferred)
Assess and monitor patients in acute care settings such as Med/Surg, ICU, and Oncology
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement nutrition care plans
Document patient care accurately in Epic and other medical record systems
Float between facilities (Sunnyside Medical Center and Westside Medical Center) to provide coverage across units, excluding NICU unless NICU experience is present
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nutrition guidelines, and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
Acute/hospital experience in Med/Surg, ICU, Oncology or similar units
Nutrition support experience (tube feeding required; TPN preferred)
Ability to float between Sunnyside Medical Center and Westside Medical Center
No orientation required
