JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a skilled and motivated CT Tech for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic imaging skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Prepare patients for CT examinations, including patient history, screening, and contrast administration.
- Position patients accurately for imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with ALARA standards.
- Review and transmit images to PACS for interpretation by radiologists.
- Maintain patient records and documentation in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality control and assurance activities.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions.
Schedule / Shift
- Thursday through Saturday
- Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of current CT Tech experience.
- ARRT (R) (CT) certification.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Night shift experience.
- Experience with trauma levels I or II.
- Experience with GE equipment.
- Experience with Meditech EMR.
- Experience with Centricity PACS.
Certifications

Experience
- Minimum 6 months of current CT Tech experience.
- Night shift experience with trauma I or II level patients is preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in performing CT scans, including CTA, ABD PELV, and CAP procedures.
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Ability to administer contrast agents safely and effectively.
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

- Adults. Specific patient population details for trauma will be provided on assignment.
