JOB SUMMARY
Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the vascular system to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures, including carotid duplex, peripheral arterial and venous Doppler studies, and abdominal vessel imaging.
- Explains procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Operates ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
- Documents findings accurately and thoroughly in patient records.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Schedule / Shift
- 40 hours per week
- Four 10-hour days
- Monday - Thursday
- 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Vein Treatment Program.
- Experience in complete Venous Insufficiency Exams.
- Experience with Thermal, Chemical, and Foam Venous Ablations.
Certifications
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) required.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years direct experience as a Vascular Ultrasonographer.
Skills
- Proficient in performing and interpreting vascular ultrasound studies.
- Excellent patient communication and care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of vascular anatomy and physiology.
EMR / Systems
- Experience with various EMR and PACS systems.

- Adult vascular patients.
