JOB SUMMARY
The Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and is responsible for the operation of ultrasound equipment to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and treatment of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and small parts imaging.
- Operates ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assists physicians with interpretations and interventional procedures as needed.
- Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensures adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Cleans and maintains ultrasound equipment.
- Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Schedule / Shift
Evening shift.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon license in Sonography.
- ARDMS credentials (or equivalent) in Abdomen required.
- ARDMS credentials (or equivalent) in OB/GYN required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Experience
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
