JOB SUMMARY
The Inpatient Pharmacist is responsible for providing clinical judgment, professional knowledge, and distribution skills within the Pharmacy Department to assure that patients receive pharmaceutical care consistent with the department's and hospital's mission. The Pharmacist identifies, resolves, and prevents drug-related problems, performing these activities within the context of established policies, procedures, and techniques of the hospital, the hospital pharmacy, and federal and state standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical judgment and professional knowledge in pharmaceutical care.
• Distribute pharmaceuticals in the Pharmacy Department.
• Assure patients receive pharmaceutical care consistent with departmental and hospital missions.
• Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and techniques of the hospital pharmacy.
• Comply with federal and state standards and regulations.
