JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction, operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms independently.
- Operate Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX ultrasound equipment.
- Document procedures using the Meditech system.
- Adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies, including the Methodist Floating Policy.
- Perform approximately 75-80 echocardiograms per day, with a focus on portable procedures.

Schedule / Shift
- Days
- Call is required.
- Weekend coverage to be discussed during the interview.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hospital experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARDMS certification.
- Proficiency in performing complete echocardiograms independently.
- Knowledge of relevant anatomy and disease processes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TEE.
- Experience with Stress Echoes.
- Experience with Vascular imaging.
- Meditech experience.

Certifications
- ARDMS (RDCS or RCS)
- BLS

Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience as an Echo Sonographer.

Skills
- Ability to perform diagnostic echocardiograms independently.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology.
- Familiarity with Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX equipment.
- Proficient in Meditech documentation.

- Must be willing to float as needed per the facility's floating policy.
