JOB SUMMARY
Provide direct nursing care to patients on the Medical 1 unit, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes. Adhere to established nursing protocols and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and overall nursing care to assigned patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs, blood glucose levels, and weight.
- Operate and interpret telemetry readings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to patient needs and provide assistance throughout their stay.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.

Schedule / Shift
- 13-week contract
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend commitment

Required Qualifications
- LVN licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Telemetry capable.

Experience
- Inpatient hospital nursing experience is preferred.

- Safe overall nursing care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to float to designated MedSurg areas.

EMR / Systems
- Meditech

Unit / Specialty
- Medical 1 (Med1)
- Medical-Surgical floor

Patient Population
- General adult medical-surgical patients.

Floating / On-Call
- Ability to float to MedSurg (Med3, 4North, Rehab) units.
- No on-call requirements.
