JOB SUMMARY
Mammography Technologists utilize specialized X-ray equipment to perform mammograms, assisting in the early detection of breast cancer. They are responsible for patient positioning, image acquisition, and ensuring the quality of diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols and standards.
- Properly position patients to ensure optimal imaging quality.
- Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively.
- Select appropriate technical factors for each examination.
- Ensure images are of diagnostic quality and free from artifacts.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and protocols.
- Perform quality control measures on mammography equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Assist with other related duties as assigned.

Certifications
- Certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience
- Experience performing mammography procedures.

Skills
- Proficient in mammography techniques and patient positioning.
- Knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Familiarity with radiation safety standards.
