Nuclear Medicine Technologist

JOB SUMMARY
Provides advanced diagnostic imaging services to patients of all ages in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Operates specialized imaging equipment for nuclear medicine procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and answering questions.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment (e.g., gamma cameras, PET scanners).
- Process and analyze imaging data, ensuring image quality and accuracy.
- Document patient care activities and procedures accurately in patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and protocols.
- Maintain departmental equipment and supplies.

Schedule / Shift
- 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications
- Ability to work for 4 to 6 weeks.
- No specified schedule restrictions or requests for paid time off will be accommodated.

Certifications
- ARRT (N)
- OR CNMT
- OR NMT
- OR STATE LICENSE as GENERAL RADIOGRAPHER

Experience
- Experience in nuclear medicine imaging.

Skills
- Proficient in performing nuclear medicine procedures.
- Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and their administration.
- Skills in operating and troubleshooting nuclear medicine equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Electronic Health Record (EHR) charting.
