JOB SUMMARY
The CT Technologist operates CT imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes. This role requires adherence to established protocols, patient safety standards, and quality assurance measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs CT scans on patients as prescribed by physicians.
- Positions patients correctly for optimal image acquisition.
- Administers contrast media as required and monitors for adverse reactions.
- Operates and maintains CT imaging equipment.
- Follows radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensures a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Schedule / Shift
Schedule and shift details are determined by facility needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) or Computed Tomography (CT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State licensure as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
