We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry to provide high-quality patient care for individuals requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The Telemetry RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients with cardiac and other acute medical conditions.
Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data.
Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Ensure compliance with patient safety initiatives, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in patient care coordination and discharge planning activities.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry or Acute Care Nursing experience preferred.
Experience caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Ability to recognize and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to clinical changes.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Previous experience in Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down Unit, or Cardiac Care settings.
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Knowledge of cardiac medications, treatment protocols, and monitoring equipment.
Certifications
Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required or preferred based on facility requirements.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred, if applicable.
