JOB TITLE: TRAVEL - IR RN (727) - 7A-3:30P MON-FRI - RN - Radiology

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. The IR RN will provide direct patient care and assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of sterile techniques, patient monitoring, and emergency response within the IR suite.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring consent.
- Maintain a sterile field during invasive procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patients for complications and intervene as necessary.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in the medical record.
- Educate patients and families about post-procedure care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Respond effectively to emergencies.

Schedule / Shift
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Call rotation: Every 3rd day during the week and every 3rd weekend.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (IR).
- Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring.

Skills
- Competent in patient assessment and monitoring.
- Proficient in sterile technique.
- Strong understanding of IR procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

EMR / Systems
- Experience with electronic medical record charting systems is expected.

Unit / Specialty
- Interventional Radiology (IR)

Floating / On-Call
- On-call responsibilities as per rotation schedule.

Education: Bachelors Degree
