JOB SUMMARY
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the available staff, providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel.

Key Responsibilities
- Holds shift accountability for providing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
- Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Qualifications
- New Jersey RN or multi-state RN license.
- 2 years recent LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
- Critical care experience.
- Vent experience.
- Trach experience.

Certifications
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association).

Experience
- 2 years of recent LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
- Critical care experience.
- Vent experience.
- Trach experience.

Skills

EMR / Systems
- EMR/charting system experience is required (specific system not stated, but generally expected).
