JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated Operating Room / Scrub Tech to join our team. This role will involve assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring the operating room is prepared and clean for patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist surgeons during operative and diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare the operating room by selecting and arranging sterile equipment, supplies, and instruments.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide instruments and supplies.
• Perform turnover cleaning between cases.
• Transport patients as needed.

Schedule / Shift
• Operating hours are from 06:45 to 23:15, with variable shifts based on department needs.
• Standard schedule is 40 hours per week.
• Potential for 32 hours per week during holiday weeks.
• Call coverage is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Expected call frequency is 1-2 times per week, plus up to 2 weekends per month.
• Call back time is 20 minutes.
• Orientation will be on day shift for up to one week or as determined by management.

Required Qualifications
• Successful completion of a Scrub Tech program or equivalent military training.
• Must possess an active State of Hawaii license by the start of the assignment.

Experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience scrubbing cases in a hospital setting is required.

Skills
• Proficient in assisting with a variety of surgical procedures.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs and react quickly.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating room procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Operating Room (OR)
• Outpatient GI Labs

Patient Population
• Adult surgical patients.

Floating / On-Call
• On-call duties are required, averaging 1-2 times per week and up to 2 weekends per month.
• Personnel are assigned to call based on department needs.

Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

EMR / Systems
• Experience with electronic charting systems is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in robotic surgeries.
